GROUPS and WORKSHOPS
Occasionally I offer art therapy groups and workshops to the community, working with local schools, not for profits, government services and private companies.
Please note, I am not currently providing any group art therapy on the Sunshine Coast.

I am an experienced art therapist and have provided the following:

Expressive Art Group for adults, Maroochydore City Centre

Art therapy workshops for children 6-15 with Autism Camp Australia

Art therapy groups for children and teens in primary & secondary schools and community-based settings

Social and emotional wellbeing programs in primary and secondary schools, including Roots of Empathy parent and baby program in schools, teaching child development, attachment, and empathetic parenting to primary age children.

Art therapy workshops for staff development days within school, universities and social care settings.

WHAT ARE ART THERAPY GROUPS?

Art therapy groups offer people an opportunity to discover more about themselves through art making and self expression while benefiting from being with others in a safe, supportive space. It can be a good first step if you're feeling isolated or want to develop your interpersonal skills and self confidence.
Groups are based on art therapy principles and may include a group mural, clay sculpting, mask making, creative writing and illustration. Confidentiality is a key factor in the group to allow each member to feel comfortable and safe.
Group members will be encouraged to share ideas and encourage one another and through this build self-esteem, self-confidence and a sense of satisfaction by creating something that has meaning for them. ​
