CHILDREN & FAMILIES

Child & Adolescent Therapy
Parent Child Psychotherapy
I offer tailored support for children and young people, recognising the power of creativity, sensory experiences, and special interests in building confidence and a strong sense of self.

Using a bio-psycho-social approach, I create a safe therapeutic space to complement your child’s existing supports. I work with a range of challenges including neurodivergence, emotional regulation, trauma, and identity.

My approach includes art therapy, storytelling, sensorimotor practices, play, and sandplay therapy—designed to meet each child where they are and support them to thrive.

I work with children aged 4 and up, teenagers, and their families, and bring extensive experience in supporting young people through art therapy. I’m especially passionate about the creative energy children bring to therapy and the value of family-inclusive support.

For children under 10, I take a collaborative approach that actively involves parents. Please keep this in mind when booking. For young people aged 10–18, I offer a mix of individual and parent sessions.

Getting started
Therapy begins with an initial parent consultation (with one or both parents) at my Buderim studio.
From this session, we develop a support plan tailored to your family’s needs, which may include:
-
Individual sessions
-
Parent sessions
-
Parent–child sessions (e.g. 4–6 sessions of Theraplay or art psychotherapy)
Once we’ve established a direction, we’ll arrange a regular session time. You’ll receive appointment reminders and have access to my online client booking system.

To get started, please email me at sallygcuthbert@gmail.com with a brief note about your child and your appointment preferences. I’ll then send further details and a new client form.
